Escape or Die is the fifth episode of the Blood of Zeus series.
Synopsis[]
Hera directs Seraphim to the powerful sword Zeus once forged for Heron, who is enslaved aboard a galley. Alexia seeks counsel from her mentor, Chiron.
Summary[]
Heron and other prisoners are taken to galley ships. Meanwhile, Alexia reaches the centaur village, where she meets her mentor, Chiron. She shows the map she took from the demons, and Chiron realizes it is a map of the labyrinth where they keep the giant's remains and that it's a star map keyed to the constellation Cassiopeia. Alexia knew that Chiron could read it, which makes Chiron comment that if she knew it, so would her enemy. At that moment, demons led by Seraphim show up, and Chiron explains that they arrived a little before her and that he could risk a war and endanger his people. Alexia starts fighting them, but before she is killed, Chiron saves her, giving the map and commenting the deal was the map for Alexia's life; however, Seraphim tells him to choose between her or his people, and he lets them take her.
Hera visits Seraphim, telling him that she promised to help him find Alexia, and she did. Now, she wants him to retrieve a sword and kill the man meant to wield it. Hera explains the man is a slave in one of his ships, and the sword was forged by a god who can cut anything, and he can destroy Talos with it. Seraphim then heads out and goes to Heron and Electra's house. Looking around, he sees a sword that was forged, and then he sees it on a rock and takes it.
On the ship, Heron comes up with a plan. He asks Kofi and Evios to cause a small commotion about who will use the toilet first. Then, they push themselves into the guard and steal his keys. As they do, they free themselves and kill the guards below deck. They go on top, kill the remaining demons, and take over the ship. They ram the other ship and sink it.
Meanwhile, Hermes tells Zeus that he saw Hera with Seraphim while he was collecting a demon soul. He couldn't hear what they talked about, but he guessed she was helping him win.
Seraphim returns to the ship to kill Heron. Seeing that he wields his sword, Zeus comments that Heron isn't ready and strikes the ship, destroying it with its lighting. He then hits the sea with lighting, causing waves to prevent Seraphim from killing Heron. In the process, the other Gods see Zeus's actions.
